During the month of November and December this year, fishing the South Fork has been a challenge for a lot of anglers, but it changes from day to day and minute to minute. The people who have been able to successfully catch fish have done it mostly using nymphing.
The best flies to use seem to be Copper John, Prince Nymphs, and the Zebra Midge. You may also want to visit on overcast days, especially if you have the Zebra Midges on hand. They seem to draw out more fish than all other lures seem to. Just don’t be overly disappointed if you have to struggle to find the fish throughout the rest of this month.
